We pre-screen and hire great staff in Philippines. There’s a lot of scary stuff out there these days. Freelancers who leave projects half finished, or don’t show up when they’re supposed to. Our agents all are full time employees of our company. We’ve screened them to make sure they have the basic skills to do their jobs. This saves you the time and hassle of hunting for good workers. Our staff work for you full time. Hiring a new developer or virtual assistant every time you need something done creates friction. Friction means wasted time and energy explaining everything to a new person. With Agents of Value, your agent learns your business. Every time you have a new project, they’re ready to go. Our agents all work in one our office locations, on regular work schedules. You can depend on them to be online and ready to work when you are. We use Agent Guardian remote work monitoring software. You’ll be able to see screenshots from your agents computer every 5 minutes. This means, you’ll [...]

As a provider of business process outsourcing (BPO) services with operations in the Philippines, we like to think we’re pretty important to the local economy. We’re providing good jobs and nice working conditions, right? On top of that, we’re training our staff with technology skills to be competitive globally. But, it’s no secret in the Philippines, which sector of the economy is the biggest and most influential. It’s something referred to in the news media as OFW, short for Overseas Filipino Workers. Believe it or not, it’s estimated that 11% of Filipino citizens (somewhere between 8.6 million to 11 million people) are currently working at locations around the world, outside of Philippines. These people are serving as seamen on the massive tankers that transport oil, accountants and software developers in the US and Europe, nurses in hospitals around the world, and even engineers, designing and building infrastructure in the Middle East. Every day tens of thousands of domains expire. Since GoDaddy is the worlds largest domain registrar, many of those domains happen to be managed by GoDaddy. Every registrar has a different system for handling dropping domains. In the case of GoDaddy, they put all dropping domains up for bid at GoDaddy Auctions. So, you ended up settling for something less ideal than your first choice. Domains can expire when the owner [...]

It’s easy to see the connection between real estate investing and domain name investing. Both are investments in scarce resources, that can be bought and sold (flipped), or held for income generation purposes. In fact, very few people know how big real estate market for domain names is.  In the last 12 months alone, nearly 100 million dollars of domains were sold(pdf) at Sedo, a secondary market for domain names. Given the market volume of transactions, you’d expect to find a shelf full of books at your local bookstore, about how to become a successful domain name investor.  However, as of June 2011, you won’t find any printed books on the topic. Finally, at least there’s one authoritative ebook on the topic, Domain Investing Handbook, by a well known blogger about domain investing, Morgan Linton. Overall, the ebook is a quick and useful read.  I personally found the most useful information to be: a clear tutorial on the major domain name investment strategies an interesting process for identifying high value generic domain names a rundown [...]

To ensure that you are making the right choice, here are some questions that you may ask a potential outsourcing partner: What types of work does your company do? This basic question can be answered by browsing the outsourcing company’s website. However, you can get a full detail of their capabilities by asking the company representative directly. This will give you an idea on the skill set of the company’s agents and their individual experience on tasks or projects that are of similar nature to yours. In addition to that, they should also have a human resource-related system that takes care of pre-recruitment background checks or draft [...]
