Last December 8, 2012 was the 2nd training session for SEO Analyst in Iloilo. The focus of this training was learning Open Site Explorer and doing on-the-spot onpage and offpage analysis of different types of websites.
I had a number of “fears” when we first started the training last November 24, 2012. Among them was that we wouldn’t be able to get the agents interested enough to join the trainings. Along with that was meeting up to the challenge of teaching our agents new skills without making them lose their interest in the process.
All these fears, and some other, were dissolved during the first training. I was overwhelmed with the dedication that the agents had given not only in the individual exams but also on the group presentations. Considering how busy their work days are, they found time to study the materials given and present a detailed analysis of the site or topic.
The 2nd training made all of my worries go away. This time around, the exams and presentations were more in-depth and detailed. I can tell from their output that they are getting to be good at analyzing SEO software and tools. The training itself was a learning experience for all of us. We learned new details about the different sites; problems about the sites, ranking factors they lack and suggestions on how to improve them.
I prepared some picture collage that captured the perseverance and drive of our Iloilo agents during the 2nd SEO Analyst training:

Niña, Gwen and Joeven checking out and analyzing their assigned websites.

Liezel, Penny, Marie Cor, Merben and Nikita check the site’s onpage factors; navigation, keywords and meta tags.

Dyoanna, Rei, Leo, Jimmy, Nenie, Vincent and Suzy discuss results from Open Site Explorer.

Angelica, Dyoanna, Rei, Leo, Flezer, Gwyneth and Elera brainstorm solutions and suggestions for onpage and offpage optimization.
And the fruit of their labor were seen during the presentations:

Representative of each group present their analysis of the site assigned to them.
From top to bottom, left to right: Cristy, Gwen, Merben, Niña, Elera, Liezel, Angelica, Gee and Nenie.
Hopefully, the trainings for 2013 would be as good and as enjoyable as the last two. And I’m confident that this year, AOV will be welcoming its second batch of of SEO Auditors and Analysts!
