When you hire a webmaster from Agents of Value, they become your full time virtual worker. Our agents work on a regular shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. They can take control of your technical website updates, create new banners and graphics, do onsite optimization and SEO support, or learn any other skill or tool that would be valuable for your busines operation.
You’ll have direct contact with your staff, over Skype, or email, so that you can keep a pulse on their work, and provide any additional directions as needed. In addition to daily reports, you’ll have access to our remote work monitoring software, Agent Guardian, for every one of your agents. You’ll be able to see screenshots of their desktop, and a verified time sheet whenever you want.

2. How can I prevent my site from being hacked?
There are several key layers of security to prevent a site from being hacked into. It’s very important to select a web host with a good reputation for security. We like Rackspace, but there are many others around that are also very good. You can always ask a friend for a recommendation as well. Make sure to use a secure username and password that can’t easily be guessed. This is one of the most common reasons that a website gets hacked into. Additionally, make sure to keep all server software and scripts updated. There are bots scanning the web, looking for vulnerable and out of date software to crack.

As an additional layer of protection, all technical staff at Agents of Value run an updated version of Kaspersky Antivirus or Kaspersky Internet Security software. This prevents viruses and malware that steal usernames and passwords.
3. I’m starting a new website project, what content management system would you recommend using?
There are lots of good content management systems (CMS) out there today. Generally we find at least 80% of our website publishing projects are done with either WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla. All 3 of these systems are open source, and completely free.
Because of the widespread adoption of these tools, there are lots of great plugins and themes available. This lets you get a powerful site up and running in a short amount of time. If you want to build a website, with more social networking features, you might consider using BuddyPress. It’s from the makers of WordPress, but more optimized for running as a private social network.
4. Can a webmaster design a logo for me?
Sure, a webmaster can design a logo for your business. If you need someone to frequently make creative graphics, make sure to let us know. Some webmasters are more creative than others. If your tasks would require more creative work than technical work, you might consider to hire a web designer, instead of a webmaster.
