Using Keyword Box in Keyword Research

Overview
Yet another keyword research tool made available by a website is the Keyword Box. Although the site is talking about ways and other keyword research tools available for use, it offers one which the visitors can use immediately.

Useful Features
Keyword Box’s keyword results are based on Overture. It shows the suggested keywords and the number of times they were searched. Also, you can specify the country where the searches were done. Through this, you’ll be able to narrow down the searches to your market only, you’ll have focus and not spend much on those who are not your potential customers. With Keyword Box, you can export the result to 5 different file formats: TXT (Text), XLS (Excel), INI (Config), XML (Markup Language), or CSV (Comma Separated Value). With this feature, analysis of results can be done easily by the users. The tool also works quickly in giving the suggested keywords. It’s a service very much appreciated by its users.
Negative Features
However, Keyword Box is based on Overture, a keyword research tool that has been getting not so good feedback about having skewed keyword results. The tool is very thoughtful in thinking of allowing the users to specify which country to get the keyword results, but you can’t click on two or more countries. This means extra work for those who have multiple markets. It could have been better if you can click on more than a single country simultaneously so that you won’t have to repeat the whole process again for another country.
Compared with its Competition
Compared to other keyword research tools, Keyword Box is offered for free and you can do your query without further filling up of forms. Unlike other free tools, the results can be exported to different file formats for easier analysis. But just like Golden Keywords, it also bases its keyword result in Overture. It does not have its own means of measuring the number of searches done using each keyword.
Conclusion
Considering that its results are based in Overture, I would try first other “more reliable” keyword tools like Wordtracker. But when I do have a single country as my market, I’ll try using Keyword Box.
