Using Niche Detector

Overview
A new tool proving itself to be useful to internet marketers in their businesses is Niche Detector. It claims to find profitable niche market for you, generate, edit and manipulate keywords and allow you to do advanced niche research. This is a paid service with a downloadable free version for evaluation. So why not try it?

Useful Features
Since I’m focusing on keyword research, I’ll have first its keyword research features. When you do simple search, after giving you keyword list, it shows different functions you can do to manipulate them. You can have the adwords wrapper where you can have your keywords wrapped either as exact match or in brackets. You can also massively edit the keywords where you can add as prefix or suffix in the keywords. The tool can also remove duplicates to make sure you get quality keywords. Sometimes duplicates are being ignored because of the large size of the list. But with Niche Detector, you can never have duplicates. The tool also can shuffle key phrases so that you can have several combinations that internet users might use when searching. With Niche Detector, you can also exclude some of the keywords which you consider as unnecessary from the list.

Next feature I see as useful is its advanced niche research. Through this, you will see how many searched from Overture using a particular keyword. The number of ads using these keywords from Google, Yahoo Search Marketing, MSN and Miva. Estimated cost per click of each keyword is also displayed to let users know its estimated price. What more? You can stop your work anytime, and you can save your unfinished business later.

Negative Features
What I don’t like most in Niche Detector is that it really takes a long time to load the results for any query, especially in advanced niche research. If I had about a hundred keywords in the list for it to analyze, how much more for others who have thousands of keywords in their list? Also, the tool is a bit confusing to use. I can’t easily use its features; I don’t know what each does.

Compared with its Competition
Compared to all the keyword research I’ve already tried, I find this one the slowest one in delivering its results. For its other features, seems like others are also offering what it has. Niche Detector may be paid software but it offers a longer time than the others in giving those who are interested to evaluate it before buying.

In Conclusion
All in all, I’m not really impressed in this tool. Its slowness had gotten its way to me. I can’t stand waiting for the results while I can have them quickly with other tools. Plus, it should have a step-by-step guide which is very helpful especially for amateur internet marketers.
